Europeans are about to get a “a streamlined Wii console with a slightly altered configuration” that will include a Wii Remote Plus, Nunchuk, Wii Sports and Wii Play. The redesigned system will drop backwards compatibility with GameCube games, as well as support for GameCube accessories such as controllers and memory cards. It will also sit horizontally instead of the current model that stands vertically. There are currently no plans to bring the system to the United States.
