Fans of Eve Online will soon be able to take their sci-fi MMORPG on the go. Eve Echoes has just been confirmed for Android and iOS devices in August.
Eve Echoes is a sandbox MMO for mobile devices based on the spacefaring Eve Online. The mobile MMO is said to feature a “vast persistent universe of over 8,000+ solar systems” where players are free to choose their own path.
According to the developer, Eve Echoes features space exploration, PvP and PvE battles, mining, trading, and industry. There is also “a sophisticated player economy” in the multiplayer sandbox of New Eden.
Eve Echoes has been a collaborative effort between CCP Games and NetEase Games over the past three years. Both companies incorporated feedback from the community “in order to produce an unrivaled multiplayer sci-fi experience on mobile devices that does justice to the Eve name.”
