The fictional Sony executive Kevin Butler, who has been featured in dozens of PlayStation ads since 2009, was recently seen in a Bridgestone tire commercial promoting a free Wii system. The characters in the commercial are playing Mario Kart Wii. Butler gets first place.

The ad is a part of Bridgestone’s “Game On” promotion. “When you buy four select Bridgestone tires, you could recieve a $70 dollar American Express Reward Card or a Wii System by mail,” the ad says. Featuring Sony’s VP of Fanboy Relations will likely incur the wrath of said fanboys. He has already been dubbed the “VP of Betrayal” by some outlets.
