Farming Simulator 22 sells over 1.5 million copies in its first week
Farming Simulator 22 is a surprisingly big hit.
Giants Software’s Farming Simulator 22 has surpassed expectations in every aspect since its launch eight days ago. The developer reported today that the game sold more than 1.5 million copies in the first week following its release.
Expectations completely exceeded
Despite having a vast player base, the additions introduced in this new update – such as character customization, as well as numerous new vehicles and commodities – make this farm simulator an appealing offering for those who have not yet delved into Giants Software’s famed series.
“The initial success of this first week and the great feedback we got from players proves: Farming Simulator is going in the right direction. Our plan to lead and manage all aspects of publishing communications to achieve the company’s strategic goals was met,” said Boris Stefan, Head of publishing at Giants Software since April 2020.
There’s more to come
With the success of the first week, the company intends to keep producing material in order to keep the snowball rolling and allow this version to be the most impactful of the franchise yet.
