Fast Racing Neo: F-Zero Meets Wipeout on Wii U

Have you wanted to play an F-Zero game on the Wii U ever since the console came out in 2012? You’re not alone. It’s one of the most requested Nintendo franchises on Wii U. While Zelda will be coming to Wii U in 2016, it doesn’t look like an F-Zero game will ever see the light of day on the platform.

Thankfully fans don’t have to wait for Nintendo as Japanese developer Shin’en just released a futuristic racing game similar to F-Zero and Wipeout. It’s called Fast Racing Neo and it is available now on the Nintendo eShop for Wii U.

Fast Racing Neo is actually a sequel to the 2011 Wii racing game FAST Racing League. If you’ve never heard of it before it’s because it was an eShop release in 2011 in the last days of the original Wii.

Fast Racing Neo features sixteen different tracks set in canyons, mountains and futuristic cities, among other locales. The game has a single-player tour as well as four player split-screen multiplayer. If you prefer online play you can join up to eight people.

The best part is that the game only retails for $15.
