Fatal Frame Torments PS2

Tecmo announced today that its Japanese horror game Fatal Frame III: The Tormented for the PlayStation 2 has shipped to stores nationwide. In Fatal Frame III, players take on the role of Rei Kurosawa, a woman haunted by guilt and horrifying nightmares as the result of a car accident that proved fatal for her fiancé. Armed against the supernatural with the mystical Camera Obscura, Rei and her friends Kei and Miku, also playable characters in the game, must solve the mystery of Rei’s growing tattoo before she is lost forever to her nightmares.

“Inspired by firsthand experiences with the supernatural, Fatal Frame’s trademark Camera Obscura defense puts the player face to face with horrifying ghosts, said Andrea Frechette, marketing manager at Tecmo Inc. “When not battling ghosts head-on, Fatal Frame III’s subtle audio and unearthly visuals will give players the unsettling feeling that the ghosts in the game are not the only ones surrounding them.
