FIFA 20 tops 10 million players

Since its launch late last month, over 10 million players have competed in FIFA 20 on EA Access and Origin Access.

That’s according to Electronic Arts. The video game publishing giant says that those 10 million players have combined to play 450 million matches and score 1.2 billion goals.

It should be noted that the 10 million players figure is thanks to subscribers. It’s not the same as 10 million copies sold. Still, EA is making money off of those subscriptions either way, just not at $60 a pop.

To celebrate the milestone, the company says that players who log into the game before October 17 will receive 8,000 free Volta coins to customize their avatar and express their style with newly available items in the latest Volta Drop.

FIFA 20 launched on PC, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One on September 27.
