Amazon has leaked the first official trailer for the next installment of the God of War series, titled God of War: Ascension. Without further adieu, give the trailer a look for yourself:

God of War: Ascension will indeed be a prequel to the original games, taking place before Kratos became the “Ghost of Sparta” and the God of War. As the trailer shows, the game will be coming out on the PlayStation 3. No official release date is mentioned, but the trailer alone is exciting enough.
