You may want to clean up your PlayStation 4 hard drive before God of War Ragnarök launches.
God of War Ragnarok is almost here. Sony keeps teasing the game with the recent story trailer during the PlayStation State of Play. They also debuted a gameplay video showing off combat a couple of weeks ago.
According to Novice Gamer Guides:
The file size of the game was discovered on the PlayStation Store. It is only listed for the PS4 version. We tried to check the file size of the PS5 version but it doesn’t show up yet. The file size for the PS4 version of God of War Ragnarok is listed at 90.6 GB on the PlayStation Store.
This file size is still quite large even though we had larger games before on the PS4. This also means that the final retail game might arrive on two discs. The PS5 version is usually smaller in size so expect it to hover around 80 GB compared to the almost 90 GB for the PS4 version. There is no update available for the game so this possibly doesn’t include any day-one update which might add to the file size.
God of War Ragnarok launches on November 9 for PS4 and PS5. It is currently in development at Sony’s Santa Monica Studio. If you want to reserve your copy of the game, pre-orders are open now.
