Google Stadia will launch with 12 games

The launch of Google Stadia is fast-approaching. One key puzzle piece was still missing: the launch lineup. That changed today.
Don’t get too excited, though. The lineup is a mix of older games like Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition and Destiny 2 with newish games like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Red Dead Redemption 2 sprinkled in.
Google has revealed that the following games will be available for the November 19 launch:
- Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
- Destiny 2: The Collection
- Gylt
- Just Dance 2020
- Kine
- Mortal Kombat 11
- Red Dead Redemption 2
- Rise of the Tomb Raider
- Samurai Shodown
- Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition
- Thumper
- Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition
Google has also confirmed that the following games will be released before the end of the year (Doom Eternal has been delayed until 2020):
- Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle
- Borderlands 3
- Darksiders Genesis
- Dragonball Xenoverse 2
- Farming Simulator 19
- Final Fantasy XV
- Football Manager 2020
- Ghost Recon Breakpoint
- Grid
- Metro Exodus
- NBA 2K20
- Rage 2
- Trials Rising
- Wolfenstein Youngblood
The Founder’s Edition is $130 upfront. It includes three months of the Stadia Pro gaming service, a Chromecast Ultra, and the Stadia Controller. The Chromecast Ultra normally retails for $70 by itself. After your three months are up, Stadia Pro is $9.99 a month.
Google recommends a minimum internet speed of 10 MBPS to run games in 720p at 60 frames per second. You’ll need a healthy internet connection of 35 MBPS to run games at 4K resolution.
