Gotham Knights canceled on PS4 and Xbox One
WB Games is nixing the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Gotham Knights to focus on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
Previously announced for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X, WB Games Montreal confirms that the game is now a PC and next-gen exclusive. In their own words, they want “to provide players with the best possible gameplay experience, [so] the game will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC and will not be available for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One consoles.”
The news coincides with the release of a new Nightwing and Red Hood gameplay trailer. Although it is undoubtedly disappointing for fans who only own either PS4 or Xbox One, the game’s development should benefit from the focus on next-gen consoles. After all, the PS4 and Xbox One are almost ten-year-old machines now.
