Gundam Evolution PC network test begins today

Players can join the PC network test for Gundam Evolution starting tonight.

The Gundam franchise’s first-ever free-to-play hero shooter has a PC network test that officially begins tonight at 7 p.m. PT / 10 p.m. ET. What’s more, Gundam Exia and Marasai [UC] have each joined the roster of playable mobile suits, and pilots can test out their capabilities in this network test.

Gundam Evolution is a free-to-play, team-based first-person shooter featuring 6v6 PvP combat, and presents a unique set of challenges that will require teams to craft and execute formidable offensive and defensive strategies to emerge victoriously. The game offers three objective-based game modes: Point Capture, Domination, and Destruction.

How to join

Any fans who are eager to suit up and hit the battlefield in their favorite mechas can register for the PC Network Test. Visit the Gundam Evolution Steam page and click on “Request Access” under “Join the Gundam Evolution Playtest” to apply.

Gundam Exia and Marasai [UC]

Here is a description of the new Gundam mechas from Bandai Namco:

One of the four Gundams used by Celestial Being to end war through armed intervention, Gundam Exia was developed to excel in melee combat under any conditions. The mobile suit is equipped with an arsenal of GN technology and possesses high maneuverability to dodge incoming attacks or quickly close in on enemy units.

Developed by Anaheim Electronics, Marasai [UC] was deployed by the Titans during the Gryps Conflict, and was later used by Neo Zeon Remnants. Equipped with the powerful Fedayeen Rifle, the mobile suit excels at mid-range combat and is capable of stunning enemy units with the use of the high-voltage Sea Snake.

Release date

Gundam Evolution will officially launch on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One in 2022. A specific release date was not announced. We’ll let you know when we learn more.
