While I had hoped to stay with Halo until we released the Winter Update, I am letting you know I will be leaving 343 and attending to a family medical issue.

I am incredibly proud of the work everyone at 343 Industries has done with Halo Infinite, the Master Chief Collection, the Halo television series and so much more. It has been an honor to serve alongside the team for the last 15 years and be part of a universe that I love.

Thank you to everyone in the Halo community for your support. Halo’s future is bright. I cannot wait for all of you to experience what we have in store – and to cheer alongside you, as a fan, at the Halo World Championship in October!

343 Industries has been responsible for the Halo franchise since Bungie got spun off from Microsoft. Bungie is now officially part of PlayStation. Halo 4, Halo 5, and Halo Infinite are among the games that 343 Industries developed. They are also responsible for Halo: The Master Chief Collection. In addition, they collaborated on a number of spinoffs, such as Halo: Spartan Assault and Halo Wars 2.

Bonnie Ross is leaving the studio that she founded after 15 years. 343 Industries is a part of Xbox Game Studios. The studio got its start on the Halo franchise working on Halo: Reach DLC with Bungie. The company is named after the character 343 Guilty Spark, who first appeared in Halo: Combat Evolved.
