It looks like an enemy from Halo Wars 2 will make an appearance in Halo Infinite.
In a new teaser trailer released today, a mysterious signal is received. A menacing voice is heard delivering an ominous message:
The hour approaches. Forces occupy the ring. Within hours, it will be under our control. Humanity will burn. Your brazen defiance will be all but a memory.
No more prophets! No more lies! We stand together, brothers to the end. We are his will. We are his legacy. We are the Banished.
Halo Wars 2 is a real-time strategy game. It was released on PC and Xbox One back in 2017. The game’s developers were 343 Industries and Creative Assembly, the same studio behind the Total War franchise.
Microsoft has promised that it will showcase Halo Infinite as part of a new Xbox event in July. The story picks up after Halo 5: Guardians. The game is coming to PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X as a launch title later this year.
Halo Infinite is among the games supporting Smart Delivery. Fans who buy the game on Xbox One will later be able to upgrade to the Xbox Series X version for free.
