Harry Potter: Magic Awakened is coming soon worldwide

Following its success in Asia, it is now time to conquer the West. NetEase, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Games, announced today that Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, a free-to-play immersive collectible card MMO inspired by the Harry Potter brand, will be published globally.

The game transports us to the first year of a young wizard in the world’s largest College of Witchcraft and Wizardry, using a considerably more animated look. Diagon Alley, Quidditch matches, the Forbidden Forest, and a slew of other sites will be available on both Android and iOS devices.

A new adventure in the wizarding world of Harry Potter

Witches and wizards will also embark on an exciting new adventure, including familiar people from the original Harry Potter novel as well as new ones. As the game progresses, players will discover spells and charms that can be cast using cards.

Players must gain magical knowledge in order to master these spells, invent unique methods, and construct winning combinations – understanding what to cast and when – as they go through more difficult trials, battle other players, and master the magic in their own glorious wizarding adventure.

“Harry Potter: Magic Awakened has been a huge success with our current players and the fan reception has been extraordinary,” said William Ding, Founder and CEO of NetEase, Inc.

“We are excited to open this title to a worldwide audience, and we believe fans of one of the world’s biggest brands will be delighted that they can embark on adventures and experience an immersive story through a marvelous journey in the wizarding world, with infinite possibilities empowered by magic,” he added.

Players in America, Europe, and Oceania may now pre-register for Harry Potter: Magic Awakened on Google Play. The game will be available on Android and iOS devices.
