Zynga’s match-three mobile game Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells has a new in-game event series, Club Challenge: Forbidden Forest.
Club Challenge: Forbidden Forest is a new limited-time event series in which player clubs are challenged to visit the Forbidden Forest. Navigate, explore, and overcome a new interactive map loaded with hidden obstacles, strange encounters, and prizes.
Club Challenge, which unlocks at player level 55, offers a new, unique interactive route to the game’s solo adventure, giving exclusive and autonomous points, awards, and a ‘lives’ system in each of its events.
Each Club Challenge event will transfer players to a new, interactive map area marked with riddles to solve in order to continue their progress for up to three weeks at a time. Players will gain three daily ‘lives’ dedicated to the Club Challenge feature inside Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells, earning points for each puzzle completed.
“With elements of social collaboration, strategy, and magical gameplay complete with iconic spells and chocolate frogs, Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells offers a robust match-3 experience unlike any other,” said Yaron Leyvand, Executive Vice President at Zynga.
The Forbidden Forest
Players will leave the safety of Hogwarts and traverse the intriguing, and often hazardous, Forbidden Forest for the first Club Challenge event. Clubmates will discover uncommon yet respected artifacts from the wizarding world – such as the coveted House Cup and the Sword of Gryffindor – as they traverse the legendary woodland in order to obtain entry to the final puzzle.
In the final battle, players must work together to defeat some of the forest’s most ferocious creatures, such as the Mountain Troll and Hungarian Horntail, as well as Ron’s most heinous foe, Aragog. Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells is available globally on iOS and Android devices, as well as Amazon Kindle and Facebook.
