The worldwide pop culture icon Hello Kitty will come rolling into Sega’s latest game, Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania.
After the confirmation of Sonic, Tails, Beat, Kiryu Kazuma, and Morgana, today is the confirmation of another character, this time a pop culture celebrity. Hello Kitty also wants to roll a little and this fall – along with the launch of the game – will come to Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania as paid DLC.
As seen by the tweets in which Sega introduced the Hello Kitty DLC, seeing the Sanrio kitty inside a ball moving around the various scenes does not appear to be foreign to the Japanese company’s iconic game. And it’s fitting in part because Sega Sammy owns Sanrio.
Hello Kitty, along with Morgana, will be the second playable character in Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania. The DLC will be released on October 5 for $5.
The Anniversary Edition includes a physical game, a collectible sleeve, a reversible cover, a 40-page art book, and 10 exclusive cosmetic items for $39.99. Pre-orders are open now on Amazon.
