Hip Interactive Closes Doors
GameSpot is reporting that Canadian publisher Hip Interactive has failed in a last minute effort to secure financial support. Hip Interactive has ceased operations and would close its doors completely shortly. The company was unable to comment on our story. An e-mail sent to a PR representative of the company bounced back, indicating the address is no longer active.
The company has a number of titles, for which its website http://www.hip-games.com is touting. City of the Dead was confirmed for 2006, Ghost Wars for early 2006, and Call of Cthulhu: Destiny’s End for a 2006 release as well. There are no immediate indications as to which publisher(s), if any, will pick up these titles.
