Homefront was one of the last games released by the now-defunct publisher THQ. It put gamers in an alternate reality where North Korea occupied the United States. While THQ has since filed for bankruptcy and gone out of business, the franchise survived.
Deep Silver — the publisher behind the open world zombie game Dead Island — is releasing Homefront: The Revolution. The game picks up the guerrilla warfare theme from the first but now takes place in Philadelphia, the birthplace of American independence.
Homefront: The Revolution is a first-person shooter that takes place in an open world environment featuring online co-op.
The game is scheduled for a spring 2016 release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
