It Takes Two reaches 5 million units sold

It Takes Two

After almost eight months, It Takes Two went from 2 million to over 5 million copies sold.

Hazelight Studios established that they are a developer aiming to build a name for themselves in the business as well as construct historic video game brands with the release of A Way Out in 2018. Today, Hazelight Studios is celebrating the 5 millionth copy sold of It Takes Two, the 2021 GOTY-winning game.

Far surpassing A Way Out

The makers revealed the new sales milestone for the game, which stands at 5 million copies across all platforms, through their official Twitter account.

This is an impressive amount, especially when you consider that on some systems, you may invite a buddy to play in the cooperative mode without purchasing a second copy. So we’re talking about a game that has been played by over 10 million people. The milestone is even more impressive because the game is free on Xbox Game Pass.

It Takes Two has undoubtedly achieved a historic milestone, but Hazelight Studios still has a long way to go. We’ll keep you updated on both It Takes Two and Hazelight Studios here at Game Freaks 365.
