The new Mesoamerican-inspired action platformer Itorah will debut its demo showcasing a vivid, hand-painted 2D title with Metroidvania elements.

Assemble Entertainment and Grimbart Tales announced today that their next project, Itorah, would launch a new playable demo at the Steam Next Fest. Itorah is a vibrant, hand-painted 2D platformer with streamlined Metroidvania features inspired by Mesoamerican culture. It has a distinct, visually engaging graphics style and environment.

Join Itorah to save her land

Players follow the steps of Itorah as she fights her way across the wonderfully rendered world of Nahucan to defend her homeland from a horrible and strange virus. Itorah, a game with tight, fluid controls and a beautiful narrative of love and sacrifice, challenges players with difficult platforming portions that use a variety of unlocking skills, as well as engrossing fighting and dramatic boss encounters.
