Earlier this week, THQ Nordic announced a remaster called Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning.
First released on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 back in 2012, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is an action role-playing game. Todd McFarlane was responsible for the game’s artwork. He’s best known for his work on comic books like The Amazing Spider-Man and Spawn.
At the time, Kingdoms of Amalur received generally favorable reviews. It averages an 81 out of 100 on Metacritic. However, it failed to meet sales expectations. So a remaster of the game is somewhat surprising.
Pre-orders for Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning are now open on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The standard edition includes the game and all DLC for $39.99. It launches on August 18.
There’s also a Collector’s Edition planned for PS4 and Xbox One. It includes an Alyn Shir Statue, an Amalur keychain, the original soundtrack, and five Amalur artworks. That’s of course in addition to the game.
The rumours are true! Prepare for a Re-Reckoning, because Kingdoms of Amalur is coming back.
