L.A. Noire Sells 900,000 in May

Rockstar Games’ L.A. Noire sold nearly 900,000 units across PS3 and Xbox 360 in May. While those numbers were easily the best of the month, a second straight year where the company dominated May’s charts (Red Dead Redemption sold over a million units in May 2010), investors were unimpressed.

The parent company of Rockstar, Take-Two, saw its stock fall by nearly 8 percent on the news of the weaker than expected L.A. Noire sales and harsh reviews for the recently released Duke Nukem Forever. Game Freaks 365 gave L.A. Noire a positive review, a 9 out of 10, saying that it is “unlike any game we have seen before”.
