Latin America evolves in the eSports industry with Venezuela Game Show E2
A 3-day event, with tournaments of 10 different games, and more than $40k in prizes
As we have already commented here at GameFreaks 365, Venezuela is one of the Latin American nations that is evolving in the gaming world. Despite having a gaming culture that has been limited by the economic problems that the country is suffering, Venezuela is looking to move forward. And, to prove it, they wanted to bring a big event.
The Venezuela Game Show E2 arrives with its second edition with a lot of changes. More tournaments of different games, stands, sponsors, and announcements of games from Venezuelan developers. But, the most important thing of all, is the price in cash! The event will distribute more than $40k in prizes in the different disciplines.
Another step forward for the gaming culture in Venezuela
In the past, I have talked about the unfortunate situation of the gaming industry in Venezuela. A country that was flooded by piracy, has little monetary accessibility to buy consoles or PCs, and a very limited internet of a max of 1.5 Mbps! But, in these last two years, this has been changing for the better.
Even, in this country, we have started to see a lot more eSports events. But, the Venezuela Game Show has been the reference in this nation. After having a successful first edition, the organizer of the event decided to put everything on the table for a second edition. The Venezuela Game Show, which will take place on March 24, 25, and 26, brings a lot of changes that seek to increase even more the gamer culture of the country.
This eSports event, which is mixed with a gamer expo, will feature some of the industry’s company booths, eSports zones for event attendees, cosplay contests, live music, and much more. But, the most important part of the event is the different tournaments that will take place during these 3 days.
Tournaments and more tournaments

After some previous qualifiers of the professional teams of Venezuela, the organization has announced tournaments of 8 different games:
- League of Legends
- Valorant
- Just Dance 2022
- Counter-Strike Global Offensive
- Fifa 23
- Free Fire
- Mortal Kombat 11
- Rocket League
With different modalities for each game, more than $40k in prizes will be awarded. In addition, the winning teams will win prizes from advertisers and industry partners who will be present at VGS E2.
