Leap launches new mod.io modding tools

Players can now create mods in Leap.

Modders can now play around and create to their heart’s content as Canadian indie developer Blue Isle Studios has launched modding tools for the team-based first-person shooter Leap.

“The LEAP Design Works update brings endless opportunities for community content through new modding features allowing fans to modify virtually anything in LEAP,” the indie developer says. “Through the new LEAP modding suite powered by mod.io, modders can unleash their creativity.”

Players can now make new modes of play, build original maps, create slick character skins, modify vehicle physics, redesign weapons, and more. Select members of the community worked with Blue Isle Studios developers to create mods including the ‘IcyDay’ map and the ‘TeamDMod’ Zombie mode mod.

Leap is a fast-paced multiplayer first-person shooter that allows up to 60 players to compete. Pick from four distinct classes, each with its own blend of strength, agility, and defense, as well as spectacular powers. The game is currently available in Steam Early Access.

Fans can see more mods available for download at the LEAP mod.io homepage
