Riot Games is partnering with Wisdom Gaming Group to handle Legends of Runeterra tournaments beginning December and running into 2021.

Over the course of two days, the top 1,024 players from each of Legends of Runeterra‘s four regional servers will have the ability to compete for a grand prize of $10,000, with the final matches broadcast live around the world. Additionally, all competitors will have a chance to earn an exclusive card back by winning three matches within the tournament.

Wisdom aims to support Riot in their goal of building the foundation for Legends of Runeterra esports heading into 2021 by producing an outstanding broadcast of their first official NA Legends of Runeterra competitive event. The Open Rounds stage of the tournament will be broadcasted on Wisdom Gaming’s Giant Slayer channel on December 6th, with the Playoffs being broadcasted on Riot Games’ official streaming channel on December 13th.

Legends of Runeterra is a free-to-play mobile card battle game from the developers of League of Legends. It launched earlier this year on PC as well as Android and iOS devices. Our own Andrew McKissock called it “a surprisingly good free-to-play game” in his review.
