This set has turned out to be the LEGO ICONS Atari 2600 set. It’s set based on the iconic Atari 2600, where the ICONS team has taken great care in every detail to transmit nostalgia. This set has taken the work done on the LEGO Icons Nintendo Entertainment System, released in 2021, to another level. The level of detail of this console is impressive.

From the console to the modeling of the iconic stick, everything is detailed for those retro video game fans. In addition to this, the LEGO ICONS Atari 2600 set has a small vignette of a room representing the gamers of the 1980s.

Cartridges, representative figures, and a lot of nostalgia

In addition to this, the set also includes a set of three cartridges of games such as Asteroids, Adventure, and Centipede accompanied by three representative constructions of each title. It’s definitely, a set that according to Chris McVeigh, LEGO designer, is an iconic union.

“Atari 2600 was one of the most memorable gifts I received as a kid. That’s why it’s been such an incredible experience to bring two icons, Atari and Lego, together in this awesome set,” McVeigh said.

The set of elements that make up this set is a trip straight back to the nostalgia of many gamers who lived through the Atari 2600 era. McVeigh adds: “We hope that the construction of this classic console will take you back to those good old days when a handful of pixels meant a world of adventure,” he added.

The LEGO ICONS Atari 2600 set will be available to all LEGO and video game fans on August 1, 2022. If you want to know a little more information, you can visit the LEGO website.
