Lemnis Gate PC beta starts July 22

Lemnis Gate PC Beta

Frontier Foundry announced today that their upcoming turn-based shooter Lemnis Gate will be available for PC users to test from July 22 to July 26.

Frontier Foundry and Ratloop Games Canada recently released in-depth information on what players can anticipate in the forthcoming beta of their new turn-based shooter, Lemnis Gate. The beta includes four maps and two game types, allowing players to sample the tactical difficulties that await them.

The first of two playable modes, Retrieve XM, takes place over the maps of Tectonic Wells and Quarry. As they strive to acquire the most Exotic Matter (XM) before time runs out, players will need to use these diverse environments as part of their plan. Domination is the game’s second mode, in which players compete to control territory across the maps of Chimera and Arbor by outwitting and outsmarting their opponents.

All seven Operatives are available for selection in both modes. Players can use characters such as the robotic Operative KARL, the poison-spewing Toxin, and the time-slowing marksman Striker to create novel methods to outthink and outmaneuver opponents.

In addition to competing across multiple environments, gamers participating in the beta have the option to acquire special operative and weapon skins that are only accessible during the beta. Skins unlocked during the beta are carried over to the full game when it launches on August 3.

Along with the beta announcement, Frontier Foundry released their most recent developer diary, which delves into the numerous ways to play in this tactical, turn-based time-twister. Join Game Director James Anderson and 3D Artist Corey Kasperski as they dive into four tantalizing game modes: Retrieve XM, Domination, Seek & Destroy, and Deathmatch, each of which puts a unique spin on FPS staples thanks to the innovative 25-second time loop mechanic.
