Eastasiasoft announced this morning that the heartfelt platformer Macrotis: A Mother’s Journey launches for PS4 and Xbox One on October 21. It is coming to the Nintendo Switch at a later date.
Macrotis: A Mother’s Journey is presented in 2.5D style. You play as a desert-dwelling marsupial known simply as Mother Bilby. Aside from standard platforming, the game also lets you gnaw and dig to overcome obstacles.

This is the tale of a mother bilby’s journey to rescue her children, an endearing and magical narrative told through her diminutive actions and the gorgeous but deadly environments she must traverse. Take the role of Mother Bilby as she manipulates her surroundings, faces seemingly impossible odds, and even awakens to supernatural abilities in her desperate adventure into the unknown.
Macrotis was previously released on PC via Steam. The PC version of the game received positive user reviews. So hopefully the console version is a good port.
