If you prefer arcade-style sports games to the sim variety, Madden NFL 21 is including a new arcade-inspired mode called The Yard.
According to Electronic Arts, players experience backyard football with “fast-paced, small-sided” 6-on-6 gameplay. The game gives players the option to play solo, online co-op versus the computer, or online head-to-head.
In addition, the Madden NFL 21 Mobile companion app will have The Yard: Underground. Players earn rewards playing a single-player, narrative journey with 5-on-5 football gameplay. The gameplay on mobile and console is different, but the goal remains the same: win.
Players who connect their accounts can seamlessly access their one-of-a-kind avatar, gear, in-game currency, and Madden Rank. The Yard and The Yard: Underground have a shared inventory system so that your progress follows you whether you’re at home or on the road.
The Madden NFL 21 Mobile app is available to download today via Google Play and the App Store. Players can jump into The Yard: Underground to get started and take on solo challenges ahead of the launch of Madden NFL 21 on PC and consoles.
