EA Sports is celebrating the kickoff of the football season with a free-to-play weekend for Madden NFL 21.

Madden NFL 21 is free to play this weekend only. The free weekend is available on Xbox One and PS4. It is free until Sunday, September 13 at 11:59 PM PDT.

Madden NFL 21 launched on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on August 28. The game is also coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X once those systems come out later this year. Xbox Series X launches on November 10.

The game’s sales are up nearly 20 percent year-over-year in its first week compared to Madden NFL 20, despite mixed reviews. Undoubtedly that has to do with the fact that there is little competition. EA and the NFL extended Madden‘s exclusivity earlier this year.

Once the free weekend ends, you’ll need to buy the game. The MVP Edition is 25 percent off on Xbox One. Meanwhile, the Deluxe Edition is 20 percent off. The deals end once the free weekend ends.
