Mafia: Definitive Edition, the built-from-the-ground-up remake of the original Mafia, is out now.
Mafia: Definitive Edition is sold as a standalone game and also included with Mafia: Trilogy. The Trilogy also includes Mafia II: Definitive Edition – an ultra HD remaster – and Mafia III: Definitive Edition.

Mafia was originally released on PC and ported to the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. Mafia II was released on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. Meanwhile, Mafia III is a PC, PS4, and Xbox One game.
The Mafia remake once again takes place in the fictional city of Lost Heaven. The game is set during Prohibition. Lost Heaven draws inspiration from cities of the era like Chicago and Los Angeles.

All existing owners of Mafia II on Steam receive upgrades to Mafia II: Definitive Edition at no additional cost. Additionally, all existing Mafia III owners on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam receive upgrades to Mafia III: Definitive Edition at no additional cost. Lastly, customers who own a combination of titles will receive special reduced-price upgrade offers to complete their trilogy via in-game menus within each of the Mafia titles.
