Martha Is Dead

This psychological thriller will completely blow your mind and give you a few scares too.

Martha is Dead is coming to PC and consoles digitally today thanks to a collaboration between LKA and Wired Productions. Martha Is Dead, a dark first-person psychological thriller set in 1944 Italy and developed on Unreal Engine 4, blurs the lines between truth, superstition, and the tragedy of war.

A pshicological thriller based in Italy

The game begins in the Italian countryside. Allied and Axis soldiers have turned the area into a suffocating playground. The body of a little girl, Martha, is found on the lake’s beach, drowned and desecrated. As the horror of war creeps increasingly closer, her twin sister must now face the repercussions of her murder.

Martha Is Dead was always the natural next step for LKA after The Town of Light,” says Luca Dalco, Founder & Director, LKA. “The game builds upon our signature style of deep, multi-layered narratives to deliver a story that explores loss, relationships, and psychological distress, all while the mass hysteria that was the latter years of the Second World War plays out in the background.”

Despite the fact that Martha is Dead for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 was launched online today, the physical edition will be released on March 10 and will include a reversible sleeve, a double-sided fold-out poster, a collectible sticker sheet, and a digital download Tarot card pack.

Martha is Dead is available on Xbox One, Xbox One X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
