Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was announced on 2021 PlayStation Showcase

Marvel's Spider-Man 2

Peter Parker and Miles Morales will join forces to take on Venom in Insomniac’s new game.

As we said in our post on the new God of War announcement trailer at the 2021 PlayStation Showcase, the event was packed with pure video game buzz, and Insomniac showcased two of the event’s most essential games, aside from God of War Ragnarök, the sequel to the award-winning Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, was one of them. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was shown yesterday at the PlayStation event, and the game will be published exclusively for the PlayStation 5.

Join Peter to put Venom on the sidelines.

Miles Morales may be seen battling with the famous comic book character, Peter Parker, and, as we predicted at the end of the first game, Venom would emerge as one of the primary antagonists. As with many of the games shown yesterday, no release date has been announced, and it appears that we will have to wait a long time, as it was only mentioned during the live event that we may return to swing around New York starting in 2023.

Despite being an unexpected teaser for many video game players, Insomniac claims that it is only a preview of “the new skills that our heroes will acquire, the costumes they will wear and the villains who will try to hunt them down”.
