Electronic Arts announced that Medal of Honor Vanguard, the latest installment from EA’s critically-acclaimed Medal of Honor franchise, which has been credited with pioneering the First-Person Shooter (FPS) WWII genre when it debuted in 1999, has shipped to store shelves nationwide. Built on the key tenets of the franchise, including historical accuracy and authenticity, Medal of Honor Vanguard is available for the PlayStation 2 with an MSRP of $39.99, as well as the Nintendo Wii with an MSRP of $49.99.

As the first game in the Medal of Honor series to be released on the Nintendo Wii platform, players can expect Medal of Honor Vanguard to take full advantage of Wii’s one-of-a-kind controllers. Step into the boots of Frank Keegan, Corporal of the 82nd Airborne Division, and engage in battles throughout Europe. From Operation Husky on the shores of Sicily to Operation Varsity inside Nazi Germany, you’ll fight behind enemy lines in the epic WWII battles that turned America’s first paratroopers into heroes of WWII. Featuring spectacular graphics that add to the epic combat intensity, Medal of Honor Vanguard makes you the driving force in the struggle to liberate Europe.

“Medal of Honor Vanguard really takes players back to the classic MOH gameplay experience,” explained Matt Sentell, Senior Producer at EALA. “We are really excited to offer this game both on the PlayStation 2 console as well as the Nintendo Wii which promises to allow fans to experience MOH in a completely new way.”
