Metal Dogs is coming to Nintendo Switch and PS4

Metal Dogs

What do you think would happen if you mixed the Dogecoin meme with lots of Rambo-like weapons? It would probably look like Metal Dogs.

Metal Dogs, a new game from Kadokawa and 24Frame that has an odd and bizarre blend of components, is coming to Nintendo Switch and PS4 in Japan. Despite the lack of a definite console release date for the US market, the game is now available on Steam Early Access in North America and Europe.

Dogs and guns

Pochi the Shiba Inu, Bell the Doberman, and Bonanza the Bulldog are the protagonists of Metal Dogs, a top-down action game. You’d think we were talking about Nintendogs for the Nintendo DS if we only mentioned the three characters’ names and breeds, but we’re not. Metal Dogs is a pure action game in which these three furry heroes live in a post-apocalyptic world where monsters dominate the globe and most of humanity has died.

That’s why Pochi, Bell, and Bonanza must take command and fight the creatures with Rambo-style weapons, making this post-apocalyptic planet a better place to live.

If you’re in the US and want to experience this unusual yet stunning title, you can do so today through Steam Early Access. But if you prefer a physical copy, the game is coming to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan on April 8, 2022. You can pre-order your physical copy at Playasia.
