Konami today proved that the old saying “better late than never” can definitely be true. The company has announced that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will now support Trophies on the PS3. The fourth installment in the popular Metal Gear Solid series was released in 2008 to rave reviews, including a 9.8 out of 10 from Game Freaks 365.

The update will be automatically implemented upon logging into PSN with Hideo Kojima’s masterpiece. Thirty-four Trophies have been added to the game in all. The trophies include rewards for Easter eggs, such as using a drum can to knock down an enemy. It’s definitely a welcome reason to revisit one of the best exclusives on the PS3, especially at the price of $10 on Amazon.
