After two long months of voting, the voters have spoken. Metal Gear Solid 4 is the winner of 2008’s Game of the Year Tournament. In what was the tightest match-up of any Game of the Year Tournament Championship Round, Metal Gear Solid 4 defeated Fallout 3 with a 51% to 49% majority.
Metal Gear Solid 4 knocked off Super Smash Bros. Brawl 52% to 48% in the Semi-Finals. Fallout 3 got to the Championship Round by defeating Gears of War 2 by a 53% to 47% margin.
