Microsoft Admits Xbox 360 Difficulties

IGN is reporting that Microsoft’s Japanese chief is less optimistic about the Xbox 360 than the management in Redmond. In an interview with Japan’s Famitsu magazine, Xbox 360 Japanese chief Yoshihiro Maruyama admits the shortcomings of the Xbox 360 in Japan. “It was more difficult than we imagined,â€? Maruyama acknowledged. “Development tools were a bit late…we’re going to have to strengthen our technical support for developers.â€? Maruyama believes that games are the “key to conveying the appeal of the Xbox 360 to users,â€? and that “we have many unannounced titles,” giving Xbox gamers a little hope in the Land of the Rising Sun.
