Microsoft to reveal upcoming Xbox release dates during Developer Direct

Starfield will not be part of it and will have a separate show.

Xbox was slowly building its way to having a good lineup of releases. Their goal is to have a very successful 2023 and 2024, hence the move to purchase Activision Blizzard last year. However, there is a list of very interesting games that have already been shown in previous months. But, as of today, their release dates have not been revealed.

On January 25, Xbox will have an event called Developer Direct that will stream via its Twitch channel. It’s a live stream dedicated to talking about the projects and games that are in development. In addition, it will finally reveal the release date of three games long awaited by fans.

Release dates, new information, and much more

Xbox and Bethesda, once again, work together to create an event. This time, the Developer Direct event will be aimed at talking a little bit about the projects that the studios now owned by Xbox Game Studios are working on. Arkane Austin, Turn 10 Studios, Mojang Studios, ZeniMax Online Studios, and Bethesda will share a little more about their projects planned for 2023 and 2024.

Among these projects, we can find the new episode of The Elder Scroll Online, Forza Motorsport, Redfall, and Minecraft Legends. As confirmed via Xbox Wire, they plan to reveal new trailers and release dates for these projects. Which, according to rumors, will arrive in the first quarters of 2023 on Xbox consoles.

Starfield, Bethesda, and Xbox’s big bet for 2023

Having said this, it is logical that a big question arises: what about Starfield? Won’t it be part of it? Since Xbox and Bethesda are involved in the production of this event, it is normal to think that Starfield will be part of it. But to everyone’s surprise, and fans’ disappointment, Starfield will not be part of it.

Still, all is not lost, folks! As confirmed by Aaron Greenberg, VP of Xbox, Starfield will not be part of the Developer Direct. Both Bethesda and Xbox plan to hold a separate show dedicated solely to Starfield.

In the last two months, a lot of data and “leaked information” about Starfield has emerged. Therefore, making a separate show dedicated to Starfield is a great idea. They could show new content or gameplay of the game where we can see how the engine performs. A very important element that has aroused uncertainty among players.

What do you think about the decision to make a show dedicated to Starfield? Do you think 2023 will be a good year for Xbox? Let us know!
