Mighty Number 9 has a new release date. Deep Silver announced today that the fan-funded game, which raised nearly $4 million on Kickstarter, will be out on February 9, 2016 across last-gen and next-gen consoles as well as PC, Mac and Linux.
Mighty Number 9 is a Mega Man inspired side-scrolling action game from Keiji Inafune, who was the main illustrator for the original Mega Man game on the Nintendo Entertainment System.
Players will be able to run, jump and blast their way through nine initial stages in any order of their choosing while using weapons and abilities stolen from enemies to take down robots and evil forces that threaten the planet.
The game was originally scheduled for a September 15, 2015 launch but was delayed to work on bugs related to the game’s online features.
