Mojang confirmed today that Minecraft for PS4 will soon support PlayStation VR.
“Once we’ve finished the final bits of polish to the experience, the PS VR support will arrive via a patch for the main Minecraft game,” Mojang announced on the PlayStation Blog.
“Everyone who has Minecraft on PlayStation 4 will get that patch automatically. Download that patch and you’ll get access to the new Minecraft VR functionality. Of course, you’ll need a PS VR setup in order to use it,” the developer adds.

My Take
Considering that Microsoft owns Mojang (which is now called Mojang Studios), it’s kind of surprising that the company is supporting its rival. But Microsoft has played nice with competitors in recent years. Plus, they don’t have a VR headset of their own for Xbox One. So I guess it’s not all that surprising.
