2K Sports today announced that Major League Baseball 2K12 is now available on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PSP, Nintendo DS and Windows PC. MLB 2K12 will be the last game released on the PlayStation 2 in North America.

Game Freaks 365 took part in a conference call yesterday detailing the game. Mark Little, Senior Producer of MLB 2K12, said that they “wanted to increase the realism” in the franchise.
The top goals were to improve the online experience in order to make it “seamless” and to integrate feedback from consumers.

The recently released demo includes three innings of baseball with World Series teams from last year. Many fans complained that the demo lacked a lot of the game’s audio. They had to strip out commentary in order to make it fit as a reasonable download.

The $1 Million Perfect Game Challenge is back for its third straight year, although the format is different. Instead of having a sprint to the first perfect game the challenge will run from April 4 to the end of April for a qualification phase. If you throw a perfect game a computer algorithm will score your game based on difficulty. The top eight people will go head-to-head in a single elimination tournament.
