The physical edition of Mortal Shell has been delayed due to “unprecedented challenges in the global distribution environment.”
Originally scheduled for a simultaneous global release on October 2, it will now ship across several dates in different territories. The new release date for the physical edition is November 3 in the United States.
Europeans will get the game a little bit earlier than Americans. The game ships on PC and PS4 in Europe on October 23. Meanwhile, the Xbox One version launches in the EU on October 30.
In a statement, Playstack CEO Harvey Elliott apologized to fans for the delay:
We sincerely apologize to our fans all over the world who have been eagerly waiting for the physical release. Our number one priority is to get Mortal Shell in your hands as soon as possible, therefore we have decided to release each edition of the game the very moment it becomes available. That in turn means a slightly scattered release.
