Namco Bandai Obtains Dragon Ball Game Rights

Namco Bandai Games today confirmed that it has secured exclusive North American rights to publish future official video games for the longstanding classic anime and manga series, Dragon Ball across all major consoles and handheld platforms.

This agreement will run for five years beginning in January 2010 and supersedes the existing rights granted to publish titles on the Nintendo DS, Wii, PlayStation 3, PSP, and Xbox 360. The previous holder of the license was Atari, which has been in financial trouble.
