NBA 2K21 patch improves player likenesses, MyTEAM, 2K Beach

The new patches for NBA 2K21 on next-gen and last-gen consoles as well as PC just arrived.

According to 2K, both versions got significant changes in player likenesses, improvements to MyTEAM, and visual improvements in general. As 2K Sports are apt to do, they didn’t make a complete update note for each update, but they gave us some fundamental changes that we could easily notice.

Patch #6 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S

The version for next-gen consoles seems to be the best build. 2K fixed some of the bugs in the upgraded version on next-gen. Plus, players like Darius Bazley, Tyler Bey, Hamidou Diallo, Landry Shamet, and more have received likeness updates.

Also, the MyTEAM gameplay mode got notable changes, like: 

  • Resolved menu issues with the Mystery tier in Domination.
  • Removed duplicated attribute boosts for Triangle and Post Coaches.
  • Addressed a win/loss exploit in Unlimited and other multiplayer modes.
  • Made visual improvements in certain menus.
  • Resolved an issue with the Geologist achievement/trophy.
  • Preparations added for future seasons of MyTEAM.

Patch #8 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One

Patch #8 for current-gen consoles has the most changes. Like the next-gen patch, we got a good amount of updates in the players’ likenesses. We got new seasonal decorations in 2K Beach. The new neighborhood released in this game is one of the favorite game modes of fans.

As we can see in the latest update notes, we keep getting more changes in 2K Beach for the better. They let us know in the notes that we got to keep an eye on this game mode for the upcoming events in the following weeks.

Also, MyTEAM got these updates in this patch that isn’t as big as the ones in Patch #6 for next-gen consoles:

  • Resolved some menu issues with the Mystery tier in Domination.

  • Addressed a win/loss exploit in Unlimited and other multiplayer modes.
