New Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut trailer shows Iki Island expansion

Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut new trailer

Sony has published a new teaser for Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, focused on the recently revealed Iki Island narrative extension

We previously discussed the Director’s Cut of Ghost of Tsushima on GameFreaks 365, and now the game’s development team has released a new teaser for the recently announced expansion. You’ll be able to play a new narrative extension involving Jin, situated on Iki Island, as part of Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, with new locations to find, characters to meet, storylines to finish, and more.

Jin’s journey to Iki Island

Jin’s adventure begins when he finds that a strange Mongol clan has taken control of Iki. They are headed by Ankhsar Khatun, a revered shaman known to her followers as “the Eagle.” As a khatun and a shaman, she is not only a conqueror of nations, but also a shepherd of souls. And the threat she poses to Jin and his people are unlike any they have encountered before.

Jin’s return to Iki Island is the only method to resist this menace. He’s been there before. And, as he faces a new and frightening foe, he will be forced to confront old anxieties and discover deeply hidden scars. You’ll dig into the dark past of clan Sakai as you explore a new island and face new enemies…

The stories on Tsushima are full of action and adventure. The same may be said about Iki Island. Jin will face pirates and smugglers, insane monks, and haunting caverns on his quest to save Iki. New tales will be told, and new skills will be learned. To beat this new foe, Jin will need to use all of his talents.

Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut will launch for the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on August 20. It is priced at $69.99 on PS5 and $59.99 on PS4.
