New Pokémon Snap is coming to Nintendo Switch

New Pokémon Snap

In case you missed the news yesterday, The Pokémon Company just announced a new Pokémon Snap for Nintendo Switch.

The original Pokémon Snap was released on the Nintendo 64 way back in 1999. Just to remind the boss-man, that’s last century. Some of us weren’t even born yet! But I digress…

The original game dropped at the height of the Pokémon-induced mania of the late 1990s. It is also one of the cutest games ever released, so it’s really a shame that it took this long to finally get a sequel.

The new Pokémon Snap is creatively called… New Pokémon Snap. You know, just so you don’t get it confused with the old Pokémon Snap. That would be quite unfortunate.

Anyway, it’s also worth noting that Bandai Namco Studios is the new game’s developer. The old developer is HAL Laboratory. You can check out some of the game in action in the video below starting at 5:23.

Now if only Nintendo would work on those Switch and Switch Lite shortages
