A new gameplay video gives fans a deeper look at New Tales from the Borderlands‘ bombastic cinematic adventure.
2K Games debuted the first extended gameplay look at New Tales from the Borderlands at PAX West over the weekend. New Tales from the Borderlands is a standalone, choice-based interactive narrative adventure set in the Borderlands universe.
Originally released as a five-episode series between November 2014 and October 2015, Tales from the Borderlands was a popular Borderlands spinoff from the now-defunct Telltale Games. It used the TellTale narrative-driven and choice-based adventure game formula.
The new game comes from developer Gearbox Software. They partnered with key alumni of the original Telltale Games narrative team to craft the all-new story. This spiritual successor carries forward the same bold sense of adventure and storytelling with a narrative that is full of heartwarming emotion, a new cast, and classic Borderlands humor.
As we previously reported, New Tales from the Borderlands is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on October 21, 2022.
