The next-gen edition of Pumpkin Jack allows gamers to go up to 4K at 60FPS or 4K at 30FPS with ray-tracing.
Headup and Nicolas Meyssonier have confirmed the release date of the next-generation console edition of Pumpkin Jack, the 3D scary platformer that was released last year.
Pumpkin Jack is back
Pumpkin’s fiery radiance thanks to 60fps and a bit of next-gen ray-tracing, Jack’s carved smile will appear spookier than ever, adding to the already vivid and evocative environment built by single developer Nicolas Meyssonnier in his love-letter to the classic age of 3D platforming.
You go through a variety of creepy themed locations, master combinations and dodges to fight difficult creatures, develop a magnificent armory of weaponry, and solve diabolical mini-games that focus on skills and puzzles on your mission to help evil win over good. Along with Pumpkin Jack fans who wish to play the game on the next generation, the New-Gen Edition is guaranteed to attract a whole new audience wanting to get into the Halloween mood.
Pumpkin Jack Next-Gen Edition features a Performance Mode for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S that aims up to 4K resolution at 60fps. Furthermore, on the PS5 and Xbox Series X, the Quality Mode goes up to 4K at 30fps, while also introducing greater quality effects and Ray-Tracing.
“Pumpkin Jack may be a retro throwback to the golden age of 3D platformers, but it elevates it with contemporary graphics that have never looked better, thanks to the new gen’s ray-tracing enhancements. This is the definitive edition of Pumpkin Jack, arriving just in time for Halloween!” Said Nicolas Meyssonnier, Pumpkin Jack developer.
